Thanks, Brax! I can't really attest to the classiness, though. I've been trying some digital painting again. Tough, tough row to hoe. So every time I put the stylus down, I want to paint with the real thing. Ideally, I want each to inform my approach to the other.
And CB, glad you dropped by, sir! Yeah, I looked at a couple pics of her and that hairstyle is a messy swirl of swishes and sweeps. And the delicate features of her face are just framed inside it. It's a holdover from my love of Bob Peak.
Nice man!! The tribute comes with a nice touch on the skin tones. How long did this take? BTW, I got my copy of the Drew Struzan book you bought over some time ago. Gotta' hook up again, soon.

That really inspires me to try using acrylics. I remember long ago painting with them. Her eyes are spot on, A. A class piece by a class guy.

nice one sir, i like how you kept the hair loose and the face tight.

Chris,
This took about 2 hours. I did it the same night she passed away.
And on that Drew book: sir, I was just looking at it the other day. Undeniably a master! Struzan's work is transcendent.
Looking forward to hooking up with you when I can get some time.
